One pattern stood out fast.

They do not rely on one membership fee.

Alright, here’s what I’m seeing from top earners.

They consistently build paid add-ons, upgrades, and digital products around their core membership. Not random stuff. Intentional revenue layers that give their best members a way to spend more.

Members pay for access to a private directory of vetted peers. It creates visibility, networking, and built-in collaboration opportunities.

Private community chat
An exclusive, more focused group where members connect directly, engage in deeper discussions, and participate in more intimate Q&A sessions.

Premium audio content only accessible to paying members, including longer interviews, bonus episodes, behind-the-scenes breakdowns, and extended Q&A conversations.

Template packages
Plug-and-play resources, frameworks, scripts, and systems that save members time and help them implement faster, without starting from scratch.

Micro-courses
Short, outcome-focused trainings built around one clear result, designed to be completed in days or weeks instead of months.

Member spotlights
Paid features in your newsletter, community, podcast, or website that increase a member’s visibility, credibility, and exposure.

Video library upgrade
Access to advanced workshops, archived trainings, deep dives, and specialized content not available in the core membership.

Early event access
Priority registration, early bird pricing, or first access to limited-seat workshops, retreats, or live events.

In-person events
Retreats, meetups, intensives, or private workshops that deepen relationships and create a premium experience beyond the screen.

Advertisements

Members can promote their business, services, or offers inside your newsletter, website, or community to reach a targeted audience.

Partner discounts

Some of these are recurring upgrades. Some are one-time digital products. Some are access-based. Some are visibility-based.
 
But they all do the same thing.
 

They increase revenue per member without forcing a price increase.

Most memberships focus on getting more members.
