This week, I cannot stop thinking about a story that really struck me. Our content manager, Haiden, made a fantastic video about one of our customers, Stephen, better known on Instagram as @slp.stephen.
Stephen helps people who stutter speak more clearly.
His business kicked off when he had just around 2,000 followers on Instagram. Every single day, Stephen posted. He shared stories, reels, and carousel posts. He answered common questions. He revealed his personality. He gave away free tips and tools.
Even with a small following on Instagram, he built such a strong connection with his audience that he was able to start offering paid content via MemberSpace, including guides, toolkits, courses, and digital downloads, and people were ready to support him.
Haiden’s video reminded me of a Buffer Article I saw the other day. They looked at 2 million posts from 100,000+ Instagram accounts and found that “the more you post, the better your content performs.”
More specifically, their research found that posting 6 to 9 times per week can drive nearly 3.7 times more follower growth (about a 0.44% growth rate) compared to posting only 1 to 2 times per week.

- 38,000 Instagram followers
- 10,000+ paying customers
- Over $100,000 in sales
