Hey everyone 👋
I’m writing this while sitting inside on a beautiful rainy Chicago day.
Which sounds weird, but I kind of love these days. Good coffee, gray sky, no pressure to be outside.
That said, I’ve already made it to 5 Cubs games this season, and I’m going for 16 this year, which would be a personal record.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking about a simple question lately:
What’s the fastest way to add meaningful income to your business without needing a bunch of new customers?
Not a huge launch.
Not more content.
Not months of work.
Something you could build in a weekend.
And I keep coming back to one thing: A microcourse.
The simple math
Let’s say you price it at: $149
That’s a pretty standard range for a focused microcourse. Platforms like Podia and Thinkific reported seeing smaller courses priced somewhere between ~$50–$199, depending on the outcome.
To get to ~$50k:
- 336 sales = $50,064
- ~42 per month
- ~10 per week
That’s not viral growth.
That’s consistency with an audience you already have.
Even at $99:
- 500 sales ≈ $50k
(Same idea)
Why this matters
From a Membership Geeks survey of 2,100+ membership owners:
- 98% have additional revenue streams
- Courses are one of the most common
- 74% include courses now
- 55% plan to add courses as a top additional revenue stream

So this isn’t new. It’s what’s already working.
Why I keep talking about this
I know I’ve mentioned courses a few times this year.
That’s intentional. Because this is one of the most practical things you can build right now.
Not a massive course.
A small, focused microcourse you can put together in a weekend and improve over time.
Simple usually wins.
What most people get wrong
They try to build something too big.
A microcourse should be:
- one specific problem
- one clear outcome
- quick to create
For example:
- How to train your dog to stop pulling on walks in 14 days
- How to build a simple retirement plan without a financial advisor
- How to write a resume that actually gets interviews
Build it this weekend
Day 1
- Pick one problem people keep asking about
- Outline 3–5 steps
- Record short videos
Day 2
- Upload
- Turn into modules and lessons
- Add a quiz or simple structure
- Set price
- Publish
That’s it.

One simple takeaway
If you want to grow revenue this year, you probably don’t need more customers first.
You just need a small, useful offer for the audience you already have.
A microcourse is one of the fastest ways to do that.
And you could start this weekend.
Until next time,
