A few common questions and answers for agencies looking to partner with MemberSpace.
Anyone who sets up MemberSpace sites for a client. Our agencies include web designers and developers, digital marketing experts, business coaches and more.
Both Admins and Agencies are account types that can be granted access to a MemberSpace site. The main difference is who they are and how they’ll be using the site: Admins are team members who need access to an existing MemberSpace site. Agencies are designers or other professionals who help set up MemberSpace sites for clients.
A few additional differences: Agencies can connect new sites or be invited to an existing site; Admins can only be invited to an existing site. Agency accounts offer perks for transferring sites to clients: automated affiliate commission, client discount, client workflow and hand-off resources. Agencies are granted access to our Community, where they can ask questions and learn best practices from other MemberSpace designers and customers.
We recommend it! Agency accounts are the easiest way to use MemberSpace on client sites, they offer perks for you and your clients — and they’re free to join.
As an Agency, you’ll no longer need a paid MemberSpace subscription to connect and set up client sites. However, you’ll still need to be on one of our current plans to maintain any MemberSpace site you’re the owner of (for example, if you offer your own membership via MemberSpace).
You can access MemberSpace via your client’s login credentials (if they are shared with you), but you won’t receive the benefits of working through an Agency account. Agency accounts also allow your client to keep their personal login credentials secure, so you won’t need to ask for their passwords to be shared with you.
When you set up a MemberSpace site as an Agency, you’ll have the choice to either take on billing yourself (adding the site to your own MemberSpace subscription), or have your client handle their own billing directly. To have your client connect billing, just follow the on-screen instructions to invite them and they’ll be prompted to complete the rest of the steps needed.
What’s the process for setting up client sites as an Agency?
Here’s how it works:
- Connect (unlimited!) client sites from your Agency account.
- Set up your client’s MemberSpace.
- When the site is ready to add members, follow the instructions to connect billing (most agencies choose to have their client billed directly).
- The site ownership will be automatically transferred to your client, and you’ll remain an Admin.
- Easily manage all client sites from your one Agency account.
